So does that result in a tsunami type event like a water surge when the water comes back in?
Not 100% sure but I wouldn’t think so, I reckon it’d be slower to return as a lot of it will get trapped on land
Will be shocking levels of damage either way. 4m surges in some areas they reckon
Thanks I was just trying to figure out the significance of what was shown.
Because it’s crossing south of Tampa (near Sarasota), Tampa is effectively in the lee side of the hurricane and the winds are offshore. That’s pulling the water out of the bay.
The storm surge will be south of Sarasota.
Another rather large aurora event expected tonight. Should happen early AM, perhaps 2am.
This was from Tasmania earlier in the week.
That’s pretty
Should be on this evening as well, as long as the clouds clear.

This humid shiit can piiss off anytime it likes.

Been hot and humid here but about 30 minutes ago a big cold front came and it’s dropped heaps already
Great… so another day of it for us tomorrow…
Not sure how fast it’s moving your way but yes the humidity has been terrible the last day or so. Really nice now though with a nice cool breeze
I love the humidity.
