Time Essendon FC got rid of its Pokies licences

The extra $110.82 per member should be able to see us appoint goal kicking and tackling coaches

Just get Paul Little to fund the pokie machine terminations already. He probably has 3.37m in spare change in between his couch cusions.

But we can’t afford to hire a proof reader, not even part time.
Just someone who can spell and uses a Dictionary as a reference for the meaning of a word.

I hate pokies.
Just an aside, I find it risible that a WA poster has an opinion on them when that state only allows them in the casino.

But I’ve seen the harm they do, so I hate them.
That’s…kind of irrelevant, though.

The club out out a media release eight or so years ago, saying they were selling them.
They didn’t.
I asked here several times to Catherine what was going on with that, and yeah I get…sometimes you can’t.

But…this issue is just an example to me of how rubbish Essendon is.
Said they would. Didn’t. Never addressed it again.
Took the kudos, then pretended it never happened.
It’s not great.

who would you rather profit from pokies…casinos - shareholders who probably live overseas, or local sports clubs, where the $$$ goes back into the community in some degree…

Not the point.
WA people have no idea what the situation is in Victoria.

Well maybe they should stop gambling.

I know right? Addicts should just stop being addicted.

Get rid of the football department, and use the funds to expand poker machine holdings.

Wonder if that’s what this was about

Let’s hope the club can avoid this shameless effort by Crown to improve its image.

I had my regular meeting at Crown this morning, and washed a few pokies.

Turned my $50 into $100 or so, so I went back to work.
