In gang culture, the slang term “86” typically means to:

** Kill someone*
** Eliminate someone*
** Permanently remove a person (usually violently)*

It’s a more extreme usage than in restaurants or general slang. For example:

** “He got 86’d last night.” → He was killed.*
** “They put out an 86 on him.” → There’s a hit or order to kill that person.*
