They also have a fuel cap on that side, which is easier to see than that little arrow.

Not from the drivers seat.

We moved to the Gold Coast area some 5 weeks ago, with frequent rips in to Brisbane. I have been constantly learning just how confusing it is to make our way around the city of roundabouts. Being part mountain goat would be an enormous benefit, there are so many hills and turns to navigate.

THESE GEN Z KIDS COMPLAIN ABOUT COST OF LIVING AND HOUSE PRICES AND RENTS…YET ARE WILLING TO LINE UP FOR HOURS AND SPEND HUNDREDS ON A SOFT TOY!!

I need to learn what a Labubu toy is.

Today I learned what Kylie Golf was.
Looking forward to learning about the less popular but just as appealing Danni Golf.

TIL that “the boomerang man” doesn’t always refer to the DJR, but can sometimes refer to Ohioan Gary Broadbent, apparently the inventor of Kylie Golf

It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts !

Have you paid it yet?

You can get it downgraded to a warning if you have a good driving record and it was under 10km over.

I’ve had a speeding fine downgraded.

EDIT: Just doublechecked, I was doing 45km in a 40 zone at 1am in the burnley tunnel, fck I was stiff to cop it in the first place.

Gary’s a legend (and son Logan the most famous thrower nowadays) but “The Boomerang Man” tag usually refers to Rich Harrison. He’s an American who started selling rangs by various makers in 1975. A purchase from him in 1999 was what led to me discovering/going to my first comp in Sydney in 1999… and the week after that going to the Nationals in Albury!

I miss the pre-games. Curtain raisers. Whatever you want to call it.

Back in the day we used to have U/19s, magoos, then seniors.

Whether it was magoos or womens, curtain raisers would get me to way more games.

Edit: and the weird thing is that there’s no real reason not to do it.
It’s not like the ‘G or Marvel…and definitely not Kardinia Park or interstate venues, are having two AFL games in a day too often.

Edit: edit: why on earth are Essendon not playing Collingwood in the AFLW on ANZAC Day?

Because it’s out of season?

One of the “benefits” of getting rid of curtain-raisers was the keen fans got to pay extra to have the best seats.

I understand that, but I think the general point still stands.

Edit: make it round 1.

Because the grounds don’t want multiple traffic on them. I remember MCG staff saying that ideally they only want 4-5 games tops per week for wear and tear which is still doable if they fixture it correctly.
The grounds also don’t want to pay for extra staff, security etc for a curtain raiser that attracts little additional revenue. Last week for instance the Crows and Port played a SANFL showdown as a curtain raiser and to get Adelaide Oval to tick off in the SANFL had to pay a fee (not sure on exact cost)
Dependant on the fixturing they sometimes have to close the ground, clear it out and clean up ready for the second game.
It could and should happen but perhaps the AFL aren’t willing to pony up the cash

I take malignant ■■■■ as a compliment.

I’m arguing your points, because I’m not entirely sure you agree with them.

Gather Round is a thing.
The MCG is currently hosting three games maximum, and often two games, and sometimes One game, per week.

It used to host three games in a day.
Don’t tell me it can’t cope.

Edit: and I’m not going to research because that seems like it would be very difficult, but I feel like back in the day of North owning FNF and Sunday games, the ‘G used to host Way more than that and it was fine.

There are two Saturdays in the remaining fixture where Marvel hosts double headers.

One next week, one the week Essendon vs GC (the first game of the double header).

When you say double header, you mean per week, right?
