Trade them with clubs who have academy prospects
Saints - to GWs to get a pick before Green
or Club with academy prospect trade higher pick back for multiple picks later in the draft to get more points.
Players with academy father sons
GWs - Tom Green rated around pick 5-10 (GWS tried to trade above his expected pick)
Freo - Liam Henry rated top 20 (Freo now have more points with pick 22 from Dees (845 points) which should be enough to get him.
Hawthorn - Finn McGuiness rated around pick 20…Hawks will use 11, and may get McGuiness as another first rounder if someone bids which is good for them as then they satisfy the afl rule for a few years. Got some later picks off Deees already for points.
Port Adelaide - jackson Mead (rated around 20ish) so would lose 29. may pay to trade back for more points

The right kind of player but must be for the right price.
Fark, thats a major stitch up. Freo got absolutely bent over there.
We have two picks at about this range and if we aren’t planning on packing them up for a higher pick, I would take the risk.
That or a future second round pick instead knowing GWS may need it next year.

Melbourne could come good next year and return to 2018 form… then you’re getting pick 30+ and a four pick upgrade
It’s interesting, but you’d think that there should be a different amount for future year picks…
Has been ok for 2-3 years now. Not like we’re picking up a guy who just did his knee. For a pick around 30 he’s worth the risk IMO and is exactly the type of player we need.
