Trade Talk 2019 Pt2

Only the type of player we need if he’s any good which I have doubts on. Otherwise he is a VFL type player which we have plenty of.

Unless he has some off-field issues, i dont see why Freo would even bother putting the time in to getting it done. if thats what they got back. dodoro would be hung, drawn and quartered if he did that deal.

With Green expected to go at around 5-10, and GWS having 6, do we do them a solid and not pick him with 5(if we get it), knowing that they’ll get him regardless? Do clubs do this to earn goodwill?

Or do you just fark them and select him?

Yep.

Massive flop.

Id Fark Mcartney over and pick Green at 5 if we get it. still annoyed with him over SHiel trade,…he was hurt over the stringer trade and tried to screw us last year, nothing against giants…just McCartney. Especially as they let scully go for F all.
Green He addresses a need for us ball winner inside mid.
If we get 5, Giants can still trade 6 to us…but then we may lose getting who we want and they get 2 bites at the cherry.

I hate him too. But what if we go after Cameron next year and hope they don’t match the offer?

Nothing to be annoyed about with Scully. He was on huge money and had a busted ankle. Salary dump. Hawks are paying way over for a bloke that’s a shadow of his peak years.

Seriously?

They let Scully go for nothing so they could ensure maximum value for their most valuable commodity on the table, Shiel. It was extremely smart list management/trading. Scully was never going to get them much at the trade table with his injury question, by shunting ASAP they freed up the cap space they needed to drive a harder bargain for Shiel. They had the capacity to keep him under the cap if needed and so could ensure they received maximum value for him. Ultimately we paid the what was the fair price we were always going to have to pay.

ok, well anyway Green is still worth 5, not sure I would be doing GWS any favours, they have been given plenty by AFL.

would steer clear of Bonar too.

I think we slightly paid overs for Shiel

GWS told Shiel to look elsewhere as cap was tight, he chose Essendon. Dodoro close to a deal for a first and second rounder, then last minute there like seeya scully, Dylan you have to stay or go to the blues… pretty crappy IMO. Dont think Paul Connors was that Happy either.

The difference with Shiel and Daniher is they told Shiel to go basically.

Daniher requested the trade therefore we should try and get full market value.

So Langdon a future 2nd round and a four pick upgrade in this 2nd round. It may help them get the academy points player for both this year and whoever they have coming through in 2020.

The Eagles have sent picks 52 and 64 to Brisbane for picks 46 and 91, reports Marc McGowan. The Eagles originally received 52 from the Cats in the Tim Kelly trade.

The Lions have gained an extra 16 points in the draft pick index, equivalent of pick 72.

Eagles ontraded our pick 52.

Not much more the Ealges can do now left with picks 46, 91
And already traded future 2020 first rd pick in the Kelly trade.

They could always trade out some players I guess to get back into the secod or third round, but by gosh, their team looks unstoppable with Tim Kelly in it

Stephen wells (Geel) pick 36 or 37 is not on the trade table for Jack Steven
expect to be a later pick

Saints really need a higher pick.

**Mid Draft Season Report Card & Ladder

Time to run a ruler over the clubs at the half way mark of the Draft.

Adelaide. Everyone wants to leave. Except for those who’ve been sacked. And no one wants them. Coachless and rudderless
Brisbane. Hoping that lightning strikes twice with 30 something Hawthorn retirees. Offering genuine steak knives (Cutler)
Carlton. Dusting off their moth eaten Eddie Betts jumpers and baggy shorts. Promising supporters plenty but nothing actually happened. Business as usual for SOS
Collingwood. Stuck with an extra Cox. And paying for it.
Essendon. Yet to lose any players, and trading up by being nice. Top 8 at this stage.
Fremantle. Can’t convince anyone they’re “hard to play against”, so making a bid for the “hard to deal with” consolation prize.
Footscray. Quietly flying under the radar. Set to finish top 8.
GWS. Trading out best 22 players for salary reasons as usual, but not getting the usual returns. Mid table
Geelong. A bit stunned now they actually have draft picks. Indecision about whether to use them, and if so how?, or to make life easier and just bundle them for mature age players as usual.
Gold Coast. In their usual position- waiting for the last day to trade star players who want to leave.
Hawthorn. Traded in a mature age Melbourne full back to replace a better mature age Melbourne full back. Still a bit stunned that Northern clubs won’t just give them players, and the AwFuL won’t hand over compensation.
Melbourne. Quiet. Drafted a fast bloke with poor foot skills.
Norf. Can’t land big fish. Can’t land little fish. Should they just give up fishing altogether?
Port. See Fremantle
Richmond. Still partying. Are they aware Draft season has even started? Dustin Martin’s car.
St Kilda. See Freo & Port, with an extra degree of difficulty. Either that or trolling the Draft in a desperate bid to appear relevant
Sydney. Struggling to break down Dodoro’s defensive systems. Proof they struggle outside Sydney.
West Coast. Sold the farm for another flag next year.

Future seconds may kind of come in. It depends on where the picks to pay for the points are.

Is Cutler the steak knives or the bloke who makes them?

“Y” is possibly both the question and answer

Fantasia has been replaced with Papley (i think?) now, guess Fantasia was the bigger name.
