Maybe the club is confident they will get him right and see the hypothetical 5 and 9 offer as massive unders. If we do the trade I want it to be remembered in years to come as the day the dons tore the heart out of Sydney. The richest most one way one sided deal in VFL/AFL history.

Not necessarily. To me its like the seven year itch, just need prioritise date nights and sexy lingerie, or in this case the footy equivalent.

Not really.
Essendon could be viewing this as he’s lost his love of the game, including the club, but feel confident that when he’s playing again that he can quickly regain that love.
It means that he hasn’t threatened to sit out if the trade doesn’t happen. It’s not an all or nothing scenario. Adds more weight to Essendon’s stance.

Problem is this, yes, two first rounders are fair. But also yes that if we trade him we’re basically giving up hope of a premiership in the short term.

A handy depth player and is versatile, not a bad type of player to have on the list in our situation with our midfield depth.

He’s a bit like Laverde and Langford, has flaws. Cutler has some speed and physical ability but lacks decent disposal and decision making.
