Trade Talk 2019 Pt2

Welcome back, Joey.

We still love you.

Kick 12 on Rampe next year and run a finger twirling lap of the Scg just for good measure.

You make some fair points and well laid out.

Like I said, I wouldn’t entertain anything less than 5 & 9, which of course makes the assumption that Sydney actually get 9.

We’ll see how it all transpires. I’d love nothing more for this to be a bump in the road and that Daniher’s body and mind is committed to the club for next season and then he enjoys it that much that he recommits to us.

StKilda have spoiled this trade period for everyone

Why?

He would have been our number 2 possibly one if TBC is injured. Drapper is no certainty for round one

With this Joe Dan circus (and Fanta circus), we haven’t addressed any of our list shortage. Fark this bullshite.

Still a couple of days to go yet. There would be stuff going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about.

You obviously missed the in-depth discussion about Pick 46.

NO!

The Trade Period should be 51 weeks and have a 1 week Lightning Premiership season

I think the trade period is about the right length - a week. It’s the media and Trade Radio hyping it up into something that it is not that is the problem.

Carlton Ruckman Andrew Phillips is set to request a move to Essendon in what shapes as the first trade between the arch-rivals in 16 years - AFL Media

the article is incorrect

he wouldn’t be behind bellcho

Let’s assume Joe stays. This means we don’t have much salary cap room.
Phillips won’t be a strain, so his trade should be straight forward; although, surely, not for anything more than 4th rounder. Cutler should also be for “steak knives” maybe next years 3rd or 4th rounder.
But we still need a strong mid fielder. GWS are desperate to get some earlier picks in this years draft; what about pick 33 for one of there young solid midfielders? With Coniglio & Ward coming back, they are surely excess to requirements.
Has anyone heard any update on a Laverde possible trade? This could also help.

WESTERN BULLDOGS have reportedly turned down a huge four-way trade that would have seen them get Adelaide’s Alex Keath, St Kilda’s Josh Bruce and pick 23 for Pick 13, 32 and 51.

It was reported on Fox Footy that the deal was the brainchild of the Crows and would have facilitated trades for St Kilda and Sydney as well as the Bulldogs.

Here’s how it would have played out:

Swans trade Zak Jones for pick 28, St Kilday (sic) would have traded Bruce for Jones, Adelaide trade Pick 23 and 28 and Keath for Picks 13, 32 and 51, while the Bulldogs would have dropped 10 picks in the draft but would have picked up two stars and pick 23 for three picks.

Speaking on Fox Sport News’ Trading Day , St Kilda great Leigh Montagna said the Bulldogs were running out of time to work out the details.

“I’m surprised that the Bulldogs haven’t agreed to that,” he said. “They only go back 10 spots in the draft and they get their men Alex Keath and Josh Bruce. With those players I think they’re a premiership contender so I’m a bit surprised they’ve knocked that back.”

The Bulldogs reportedly believe they can still get Keath and Bruce but not lose their 13th pick,
