I’ve been adding #destinationclub to any correspondence with Hawthorn supporting mates.
This just won’t do!
But the Warchest…
“Tom has made it pretty clear through his management that there is only a couple of clubs that he’d be interested in going to and it is those, that in his opinion, are closest to winning a premiership.
“But if that changes we’d certainly be open to talking to Tom.”
Noting the above I think there is a lot to play out on Scully. The only reason i think we wouldn’t be knees deep is his price and our cap
“If it’s not a no, it’s a yes”
One would think that if Scully and Shiel are best mates, playing at the same club would hold some appeal? As such we could be one of the ‘couple’ of clubs
Scully, like Gleeson, still not running.
Wingard with the potential to win games or ■■■■ all his teammates off and sulk big time.
Mitchell’s shoulder was seriously stuffed - shoulder op required and can take substantial time to recover.
Still only aging backs and forwards.
Stuff all young depth.
“Automatically finals”???
Reminds me more of Sheedy’s last few years, buggering up our future hoping for a last shot at flags, and believing his own hype.
Some people thought Port were big winners last trade period - let’s just see about the Dawks this year.
Apparantly Wingard is excellent at Fortnight…
How is it we do not have enough picks for Scully and shell and yet reports are that Hawthorn are going to get Scully and Patton (!FFS) for virtually nothing. (i.e. the low round picks they will trade GWS won’t use)
That was one of the best hits of the year by Neville
I would have thought the ‘couple of clubs’ comment would possibly suggest that we’re in the mix. It might be that Hawthorn are trying to disrupt a deal that involves Shiel and Scully.
Who the fk would want to go to loser clubs like the saints or dogs
Not sure it was McClure, think it was another guy called Tristan Foenander according to a couple guys on Twitter. Though it would make more sense that it was McClure as he was ■■■■■■■ clueless. And I noticed when Whisperer would be around during trade season, McClure would tweet a lot less
As more and more giants players get announced as leaving or trades are done I Am getting more nervous that they might get to a point where they say, Dylan we don’t need you to leave anymore!!!
Will not happen.
■■■■ off, Stevo. You wouldn’t know your ■■■■ from your elbow.
is 9 and 34 and next years second unders/overs for Shiel/Scully and 47&52 (or perhaps next years GWS third?)
You would think at worst GWS would target the Hawks second rounder even if it was Scully 47&52 for 35 at least they would improve their last live pick in the draft.
Ok, so Setterfield would have been on fixed (100K odd) for this year but obviously increasing for 2019. GWS avoid having to pay for the potential they saw in him when they extended his contract.

That deal is most likely the best we pay for Shiel alone. If its Shiel & Scully then you’d have to think this & next years 1st is a given. Maybe they are more desperate than we think & it becomes a fire sale Wednesday morning but 9 & 2 years of seconds would be a steal.
Would we prefer Martin or Scully?
