It’s not about us not getting Kelly. It’s about Carlton potentially getting him. If they r trying their hardest to get him, then next year when he’s out of contract they’ve already shown interest.

If they can get Sam Walsh as a replacement (i.e., Carlton’s No.1 Draft pick), then it might not be a bad idea, if they think they’re going to lose him next year anyway.

Yep.
Essendon needed an A grade midfielder in the off season and they got one.
Anyone else would be a bonus. We’re in a very good position going into 2019, can’t wait for the season.

Freo is holding up a multitude of trades. Won’t cough up Neale even though he’s told them he’s played his last game for the club. They’re dawdling on Lobb which is frustrating GWS & holding up the Shiel deal by extension. They messed around with Jesse Hogan (I don’t believe this deal is dead BTW) and they’re making moves for Tim Kelly who doesn’t wanna go there. Freo need to get their shitt together, the flow on effects influence another bunch of clubs/players.

No wonder a player manager came out the other day and said that he wouldn’t recommend one of his clients going to Fremantle because they conduct their business poorly.
