If Liam baker and Daniel Fkn Rioli are predicted to go for first rounders, we can easily request a first rounder for each of those players.

Iām not sure why you keep doing this. There are clear deficiencies in our list that must be addressed. For example, small forwards.
There is no place in the team for Smith.
You are repeating the pattern of 20 years of poor recruitment. Stop seeing every new player who wants to leave their club as a potential for us. We need a strategy.

We should have a thread with just links to news reports; keep this for discussion. So thereās one place to check for the all the media reported trade rubbish for the day vs the comments / discussion after that. Just my opinion.

Being multiple premiership players just makes them more valuable. The suggestion is that Bolton may even attract 2 x 1st rounders. The wooden spooners could end up getting 3-4 1st round picks from offloading players who were part of that failed team based on what they did when they had champions around them. This is why not having bonafide stars to trade has been a big hindrance. Even when we did offload players after 2000 it was done because of mismanagement & the firesale dropped values.
Donāt you lose FA compo picks if you trade in another free agent? IE McKay?
Soā¦.you would trade those players for a pick less than 20, but give up pick 8 for Bailey Smith?

merrett, parish,caldwall are all or were our starting midfield, all have started their careers at essendon on the HFF.
hell you could add martin to that, and durham a little bit too.
Like i said, if he was at geelong, heād be playing in the midfield from day dot. here this club seems to have a weird obssession with just sticking players in random positions under the guise of development.

Surely Cats give a third rounder, Bulldogs pay his salary and Cats get Bont as well for Smith - too many clubs have made it too easy for Geelong (Henry from Pies, Bowes and pick from GC) Make a stand and tell Geelong to ā ā ā ā off!
Just on Hobbs who has been discussed above in relation to comparisons.
The closest comparison I can think of is Taylor Adams.
Hobbsā ceiling might be around that level, and thatās okay.
