Just as a general rule, you should only be picking up 30yo players if:
- you are competing for a flag and in win now mode
- you have a dearth of leadership (I.E North)
Membrey ticks none of those. It’s egregious use of a list spot.

Who wrote the rule?
Picking up Tim membrey would seriously be the absolute pinnacle of beige, vanilla, average, mediocre, forgettable, limp, boring, useless, white bread essendon of the past two years.

Yeah no doubt. Just highlights how much work our forwardline needs. I pretty much agree with the lineup you suggested.
I do think we can get more out of Gresh than we did this year though. I think he can be coached better, he has talent.

I’ve got no idea how Membrey plays. Is he hard at it? All I know is that if we pick him up I’m constantly going to be checking how to spell his surname.
We won’t get a 3rd fro him. 4th at best. Draft picks are worth more this year because of the depth of the draft. An example of this is the Saints refusing to give up pick 43 for McCrae, although the saints are special idiots at trade time.

The Pies are doing a lot of work in getting players. pick 12 for noble looks on, they could get Houston and Perryman and Peatling. Keep a watch on Bobby Hill, currently looking at WA real estate. He is the key

Logan Morris looks just as promising to me, all we’ve got is hope re Caddy so far.

Thoughts on likely Club decisions?
For what it’s worth I believe Jayden Davey will get a one year deal, Setterfield either one year or delisted (if not traded) and Weideman delisted (if not traded).
