You can put 2 & 2 together.
Vozzo, Rosa & O’Brien now at Essendon.
Essendon is desperate for a small forward.

Didn’t he carve up our midfield earlier this year?
ryan would be a good pick up if you’re getting rid of stringer.
but that ain’t happening.
you can’t have a forwardline of caddy, jones, stringer, langford, ryan. the ball is just getting pinged out of that forwardline like it pretty much is now.
you also restrict your ability to develop any of the daveys or kako if picked up.
you’re better off developing from within and moulding the youngsters we have into the prototype player we need down there.
We got Caddy coming on. Kids gonna be good.
JUH good perhaps(whose breaking out BIG time this year)
Caldwell, Martin and Durham are all 23…
Tsatsas isnt a bust yet…give the kid time
He’s just ordinary……not good ordinary. Never seen anyone so indecisive with the ball
Because on the trade bait list there is enough ■■■■ on that list to stink up the rest of the team.
These are the ■■■■■■■ that go missing all too often (houdini) don’t show enough in a contest (shy) or show a spurt in 1 quarter and ■■■■ off into the sunset thinking their jobs done.
Only 1 maybe 2 I would keep, dump the rest at bacchus marsh.
Get players that want to play, not a bunch of players who spectate.
Do they like to play footy? Are they hard at the ball? Do they crawl up in a ball in the fetal position when it starts to rain?
I think it points to our coach being one who doesn’t actively prioritise playing youth despite saying he loves developing young players when appointed.
Massimo is there, albeit Scott blatantly didn’t rate him.
It’s a massive factor for sure. I think it points to a range of issues at the club including poor recruiting, conservative selection and poor injury management.
Kane Cornes going with Dan Houston wanting out of Port just one year into a long-term deal. Forget about your Harry Perrymans of the world. This guy is a gun, has the sort of skills by foot that we need to improve our ball movement. Play him at HB, move Martin full time to a wing/HF role. This I would 100% get around.
I’m pretty sure Houston himself called that talk bullshit the other week. I guess that doesn’t mean much, but I give it far more weight than anything Cornes says.
Dan Houston would definitely be a difference maker. Issues are that he is 27 and not a FA - would cost a first rounder.
Are we in a position to be spending first rounders on 27 year olds? Personally I don’t think so.
Pretty sure he’s already said next season will be his last
Well it appears as if we won’t be going down a rebuild/reset any time soon. Any sort of success will be off the back of targeted recruitment from other clubs and bring the right pieces in. I either want us to upgrade our current first round pick to ensure we take it before any Kako bid, or alternatively trade it out to get someone in who can impact right away and match any Kako bid with a swathe of picks in the 30s and 40s. You don’t trade your first pick for anyone, but Houston is the sort of player you’d seriously consider doing it for. Port would want a premium for him and rightly so. Contracted until 2027…
Nah the Saints aren’t interested. St Kilda are only pushing the story to get themselves any kind of media coverage to remind everyone else they still exist.
It’s certainly worked for this Blitzer
If it is in fact real, and we finish somewhere between 9th-6th then I think we should heavily consider it.
We are getting a first round draft pick this year regardless with Kako, which just so happens to be our biggest area of need.
If we could trade pick 12-14 to sure up two other areas on the ground (half back foot skills and then moving Martin to the wing) I think its probably the right thing to do.
Look how many of our first round picks have failed over the last 10 years.
He was seen at lunch with the Saints boss two days ago.
They are definitely interested.
I’m pretty sure Ross Lyon came out and said that he’d only be considered, pending court outcomes, after playing lower leagues of footy and proving he’s genuinely contrite about his actions.
