He has 2 years left on his contract, so WC may legit be asking for that if there are enough interested parties.

'!!! If Kelly is B grade and Menzie C grade! Then there must be 500+ A grade players in the AFL!

Just one that nobody has successfully used to go from mid table to premiership.

Isn’t that what Richmond did?

There aren’t bidding wars anymore. It doesn’t matter how highly in demand a player is, once the player decides his destination…. The other clubs drop out.

Yeah, the 2 years increase the trade value. But not significantly, and not enough to give away a 1st round pick for a 28 y/o small forward who shown nothing for years.

You mean aside from the period where they bottomed out and got Martin, Cotchin, Rance (priority pick)? Pretty important part of their premiership.

Kelly has played nearly 150 games of AFL footy. He’s the classic example of a good, ordinary player. B grade. You don’t play 150 games without offering something.

So you rate Lual do you?

He’s contracted for another 2 years not sure WC will let him go cheaply they will ask for a late first minumum imo

Just like how Giants wouldnt let go Bobby Hill a year early.

WC hold all the levreage here

Yep, and a good ordinary player is a C grade imo.

B graders at Essendon currently are the likes of Caldwell, Durham, Langford.

Perryman and Ryan are nowhere near that level

I don’t want us to go after Ryan, and l doubt that we will even try to trade him in.

Bobby Hill was 21 years old. Ryan is 28.

You don’t hand over 1st round picks for an average 28 year old, as you were saying we should.

Plus, please enlighten me on what West Coast’s list management plan is going forward?

To get as many first round picks possible?

Ahh yes. They’ve said this?

Or your just guessing?

Is Ryan actually linked to Essendon?

no.

But Thomas is linked to Saints not us, which is also good.
