Petracca leaves Melbourne, in the same calendar year Brayshaw is forced to retire and Oliver loses his ■■■■ - they would need another mature seasoned midfielder to replace him. Yes they are crying out for a big strong leading forward, but effectively losing one of the best midfield trio in the space of 12 months, I think they will be needing a midfield bull moreso than a goofy McKay twin…

I’d be surprised if the best clubs have players on triggers or utilise them as broadly as we do. A good club would trust in their ability to retain players at contract expiration and be comfortable that they don’t need triggers to attract players either.

Don’t you love this time of year though. Spring around the corner and rumours everywhere.

I’m not a fan of bombshells and exclusives that will rock the footy world to its core.
I don’t know why.
Maybe I don’t consider football that important around these times of the season.

The sports cycles of nothing to report except for exclusive reports of something that was reported earlier that day that hasn’t changed since being reported earlier that day can be tiring to experience.
