Trade talk - from October 2024 (Part 7)

Off field major problems.

Major almost being an understatement

This is the first time I can remember that there’s been a suppression order to forcibly stop AFL media reporting on a situation.

Mitch Cleary blocked someone on X the other day that asked about Tanner Bruhn. Pretty wild.

Having him listed as a “finger” injury is also crazzyyyyy work.

They have removed the finger injury, just unavailable now.

Google his name and theres an article from October last year about what he is going through at the moment.

But I agree, pretty wild that this story has just been completely hushed.

Makes you really want to ask some questions.

Yeah. “Finger injury” was pretty crass.

Stop dreaming. He’s not coming

I look at all these out of contract Hawks, and man I’d love us to make a big play at Cam Mackenzie.

Was my favourite player in that draft, and his kicking is pure candy for the eyes.

WTF is ‘Management’ for Jack Martin? And 3 weeks? Weird.

If Reid is out of the question then will be operation get Wardlaw.

I love George, and the way he plays is electric.

But I’ll be ■■■■■■ right off if we sell high picks for another injury prone player. Let alone another smaller mid who can be a butcher by foot.

*yes I know the kicking efficiency stats between Mackenzie and Wardlaw.
George can spray easy passes, while Cam bites off some risky kicks.
It’s also a rubbish stat with garbage metrics

Wardlaw, will be like Rowell, injury issues aside.
will add tenacity we need. Will also help bring Tsatas along with them being mates.
If we get Zane Duursma packaged in as well then hopefully he can become a half forward or wing as well, both have talent. Better to bet on them than go to draft.

I was going to use Caldwell as a positive example of drafting a talented but injury prone youngster, but then remembered that Jye’s been out injured the last 5 weeks :anguished:

LOL, 0 likes.

Rowell didn’t have soft tissue after soft tissue, dating all the way back to juniors as well.
Rowell also looks to be a fair barrel compared to Georges frame.

As much as I like him, and getting bombers fans on the list is always nice, it’s a risk I’d like to avoid.

Especially when there are better suited candidates out of contract like Mackenzie

Wardlaw would be leaving a rabble at North and getting away from Clakko.

who’s going to leave the Hawks to come to us?
Just someone old and Broken like mark Williams thats who.

Caldwell despite injuries and slow start was easily worth Fantasia and a second round pick.

No doubt.

There is a massive cue at the Hawks for mid minutes.
Only heightened if they do actually land Harley or get Will Day fit

Why would Harley Reid go to a club with ugly colors like that?
