Remember any big trade player swaps?

As in gun player A for gun player B?

I guess WestCoast got Kennedy for Judd?

At that point in time Kennedy was promise from memory - but an early draft pick.

West Coast also finished 3rd on the ladder the year before and the flag the year before that . They weren’t a basket case.

Mind you we are hardly flag contenders either.

We need to drop the idea Martin is going to be part of any WA trade.

Home security has come a long way in the last 10-15 years and I’d imagine Martin’s front door is a lot more secure than Cale Hooker’s.

We have no chance.

I think Martin is wedded to the red and black. He’s just been elevated into the leadership group of the only team that gave him a chance at an AFL career. Since joining us his credentials have risen exponentially. Why would anyone in his position even contemplate leaving?! It just isn’t happening.

Watching Harley play right now he looks disinterested. Small sample size I know but if these type of performances continue by him the media spotlight and pressure is going to rise on the lad. Not sure that helps his price.

I agree with most of what you said however reid has been coming off a limited preseason. Dunno about him being disinterested but certainly not there fitness wise.

Reid gives me Stringer vibes. Can be the most exciting player in the comp or unfit and disinterested. I still want him in the red and black though.

Fair enough. I wasn’t aware he hasn’t had a proper pre season. He certainly looks a bit unfit!

They can want Martin all they like.

But if the Eagles can’t sell their club to Martin, he ain’t going anywhere.

He is just as entitled to choose if he leaves, as Reid is.

That was dis-interested sorry. I just watch Caldwell miss 85% of the pre-season. You can turn up to compete and be in better shape
