I don’t think Hobbs over Lohmann was the big miss, I think it was simply refusing to offer 4 instead of 3 years for no logical reason. Especially when tippa literally retired the same year

I agree about needs over best available, I just think the Lohmann trade refusal was dumber than the draft pick use. We would’ve just ■■■■■■ his development anyway

You shouldn’t be allowed to change the rules once draft trading has started. So we have got good picks for next year and now he is suggesting Tassie should be allowed in to the draft. Rubiish. I know we recived a benefit in 24 with Kako and a late rule change but it doesn’t mean it is right.
The draft concessions that Tassie get can only be used in a trade for players not in the draft.
We don’t know that yet. One suggestion is that a player will be able to nominate that he is prepared to be drafted by Tassie and prepared to sit it out until they enter the comp. I am sure some kids would agree to that to get a contract.
Ridiculous is thinking us offering an extra year would be enough to convince anyone to pick us over a legitimate premiership contender.
