I’d prefer a first round pick and then try and score on some 3rd/4th rounds personally
Don’t think this list has anywhere near enough top end talent on it

Yep. Except the approach for the last two years has been the complete opposite
I’d say it’s about a game and a half away from playing finals.
Interesting choice of words. But it looks like the answer is yes……incremental improvement….just wasted 2 years though putting games into list cloggers
We’ve had top end picks that’s for sure.
17 won’t cover a Kako bid at 9, you’d lose 17 and start degrading pick 20 as well. So you might be down to 26-27 ish
I’m not saying he goes at 9.
He might go at 15. Or even at that 17.
2 wins actually considering our percentage was the fourth lowest in the comp.
We were closer to bottom 5 than finals
I think if you had a high degree of confidence that he wasn’t going to go before 9 you would just keep 9
Of course. That unknown makes it all quite tricky. That’s why if we were to downgrade 9 to a late teens picks, I’d like two picks in the 20’s with it. Which sounds unlikely, but it’s possible Richmond may have surplus picks quite high up if GC are as stupid as is rumoured.
You’re getting a little repetitive
That’s the discussion.
9 and Kako (31 gets wiped out with Kako bid)
or Kako 20 and 31 (17 gets wiped out with Kako bid)
That’s pretty near to playing finals.
We finished 11th. Of course we are closer to the bottom 5 in an 18 team comp.
Is that taking account of the 20 percent discount
Personally, I actually think there is a much bigger risk that Kako gets bid on before our pick, in which case I’d trade out before the draft for a future first plus extras.
So for me, neither option.
Is this enough proof that we are ■■■■
Pretty sure we’ll pick up some later picks either by trading a player and by trading a future pick , maybe a 3rd, with a team like Richmond who will have a load of picks they won’t use.
Enter the draft with 9, 31 and some late 20 to 40’s.
Then have a contingency on draft night to trade 9 if a bid comes early.
Gresham will kick 80 goals next year.
9+15 = pick 2 based on points
Yes.
A bid at 8 by St Kilda is 1551 points. 20 percent discount means we need 1240 points. Pick 17 is 1025.
