Trade talk - from October 2024

Dear @Finding_Nino ,

For Xmas this year, I want -

  1. Brad Scott the Coach to be sacked
  2. Jake Stringer to be traded
  3. All of our good players to be traded for unproven youth

Please let me know if you have any queries, concerns or perpetual emotional outbursts.

Kind Regards,
chogby.

Depends what was promised to the board success now.

Scott says one thing -wants to develop players…but actions show other things happening

playing Hep, Kelly etc, forcing massimo out the door,
making Roberts and El-Hawli wait for debuts etc
Not blooding Hayes when Lav & Ridley out etc.

This season though -Hepp gone, Kelly gone

trying to mvoe on Stringer, LAV, Shiel

But then other side you ahve long term contracts to Parish, Redman, McGrath etc,

He’s talking to you dummy.

I think the player culture up there at GWS would corrupt Jakey, at least based on the shenanigans of about 18 of their players.

Nup dont go there Jakey

Miller Kike

it’s interesting that we don’t seem to be asking a lot for a guy who kicks 42 goals and yet the trade still hasn’t happened. This trade period will have been a massive punch to the ego.

The Hep thing was clearly emotional and ceremonial. We ‘owed him’. It was the last vestige of the drugs era coming back to bite us, giving a great stalwart his 250 despite the waning form.

Kelly, well he’s retired now so I don’t care to pick over that one. El-Hawli was not anyone’s fault. He got injured as soon as we picked him and was out for weeks on end. Otherwise he would have played.

Roberts was speculative, and came on late to earn his spot in the side. I see no reason to suggest he should have been picked earlier in the season.

I think Hayes was worth a game or two. Probably the week Weid got picked it should have been Hayes. I don’t think he had any injury that week, so would have made more sense.

Dyson says that Stringer kicked 42 goals this season and he agrees with Nino that we either get pick 37 or tell GWS to go ■■■■ themselves.

Yep, what does that tell you the rest of the competition thinks of him? If he’s that great, why aren’t there a range of premiership contending teams willing to give a 4th rounder for him with a 2 year deal?

It reeks of the entire competition knowing what Scott also knows, that Stringer must be toxic in the group, and not worth the trouble.

Which ever way it goes, if Jake ever thought he was a required player that ship sailed at the end of this season.

Correction, he would’ve said that GWS should go jam it

You know this is a ■■■■■■ trade period when we don’t even fill up one trade thread. Caddyfest had 4.

I just cant get over the Weid staying and Baldwin pushed out scenario. There must be something that an awful lot of us aren’t seeing. Unless the clubs internal knowledge on Baldwins injuries was the decider.

Say you’re pro Palestine, without saying you’re pro Palestine.

Yes , yes I am.

One is perennially injured, and the other is ■■■■. They should both be gone.

You’re a laugh, I swear

Even if that were the case, there is still no reaso to keep Weid

Any whispers on the stringer trade?
