Here’s a question for you - if Kako is bid on at #8, we would use #9 to match. This gives us a surplus of +228.2 points.

Do we lose those excess points, or are they added to our next pick and we move up the draft? So currently we have draft pick 31 (606 points), 606+228.2 = 834.2 points or just shy of pick 22

We don’t lose those excess points, but they also don’t get added to our next pick. If we have a spare spot on the list, those excess points create a new pick for us and almost shuffle us back into the draft order.
In this scenario, 228 points would give us Pick 54 (which would move up as other picks ‘disappear’ to bid matches etc)
