I would be worried that if Hird does come in, holding onto Merrett further delays the turbocharging we could get from moving him on.

I would hope that any coach including Hird was told that Merrett, Parish and Ridley at a minimum will be traded as a non negotiable to get the job but then again I suspect itās probably the club more than the coach that will try to hold on to them all

Not sure thereās a market for Parish, regardless of how much we pay of his contract
Depending on what Neale does, I could see Parish being a good fit for Pies or Crows, as they lack a pure clearance winner and have the runners and users on the outside.
I know Pies have been interested in Parish in recent years.
