Trade talk - from October 2025 (Part 10)

I cringe everytime I hear us linked to a player.

Reminds me of north melbourne being linked to players.

As if anyone bar over paid mediocre players would ever look twice at Essendon.

I wouldn’t even consider them and I go watch them every week.

Pick 10 and a player like Barker or Steven and you got a deal!

He can have Parish as ■■■■■■■ steak knives

Wouldn’t mind Miers. It would be a Gryan shame if we missed out.

I mentioned Aex davies from the GC in a previous post, however, Sparrow is a class above and a similar style of player. he would be a great get.

The bloos picking up Florent and Hayward on the cheap is where we need to be at. 27 year olds from a good system

this is good, we need more than just the Hawks involved. Zack can not just say oh its Hawks or bust, thats BS Zack it does not work like that if you actually want to leave.

I would happily give Zack to Cats for unders vs the Hawks for unders.

It’s exactly how it works.

Of all the FA’s that move how many have more than 1 club in mind?

Most get to the club of their choice which is exactly what FA was designed to do

He is not a FA though, wish he was cause then we would get pick 2 compo

No but the point still stands. Most players choose a club and end up getting there.

If he was a FA we wouldn’t get anywhere near pick 2 under the current rules either. Zach would be a zero pointer this year and that puts him in Band 3 or 4 territory

If Allan was worth pick 2, hence I would think AFL would play with the formular to get us some compo help without looking like it, mute point though as its all wishing. I just don’t like the Zack has a gun to our head, not when Hawks want to be ■■■■■ because of it. Hawks could have accepted our counter last year which apparently was close.

Because you watch them

Would prefer he goes to the Cats than Hawks. Where is this chatter coming from though? Tom Morris again?

O’Sullivan? Their Key Back?

No thanks. We already have Reid and McKay, dont need more useless defenders.

Just take pick 10 (if it even is on the table) and be done with it

With GC reportedly cooling on Ridley I would love to try and entice Kitty Coleman down on a 4 year deal.

He’s dynamic out of the backline and has some presence and smarts. Working his way back from a hammy at the moment but lions could potentially go with Annable (providing their injury list stays low) he may not get a spot for their finals tilt.

Exactly what we need!!!

Think it was him that we originally put in a bid for on draft night and Brisbane / AFL bend the rules and gave them 45 minutes to sort out a match

yep confirmed Wiki reference below. (■■■■■■)

“Brisbane drafted Coleman with pick 37 in the 2019 AFL draft, matching a bid by Essendon. This in itself wasn’t without controversy as Brisbane did not have the required draft points to match the bid. Brisbane had to complete many trades to facilitate the bid and took more than their allocated time by nearly ten minutes, with the AFL breaking its own draft rules to allow it”.

O’Sullivan differs from most of our key backs in that he’s very good at football.

There’s also zero chance Geelong trade him.
