It’ll be pick 6 I reckon. I’d take that over 16, their next years 1st, late 20s

Geelong will want Butters AND pick 4

Putting 2 and 2 together, Port don’t think the Dogs have the trade capital to get Butters, and have told him this. Dogs know we have a lot of picks and want Jones. Jones is now ā€œback on the marketā€.

The Dogs were always going to have to offload a player or 2 to get Butters.

Growing up in Darley (near Bacchus Marsh), Butters is a regional Victorian at heart. Geelong has built its modern empire on offering players a country-coastal lifestyle refuge away from the suffocating Melbourne football fishbowl.
Pairing him with Max Holmes and a fit Bailey Smith gives fans a thrilling glimpse into the post-Dangerfield future.

Or butters realises that the Dogs back 6 is as bad as ours and that they aren’t winning a flag anytime soon.

Jones is going to cost our second rounder isn’t he.
He is only 23, could be worth it.

I think that’s fair. Jones is tracking well.

either that or the compo pick that we’re going to be heavily encouraged to trade.

We should have 3 straight start of second round picks. 18, 19 & 20 type situations. They can have one of them.

Richmond and WCE will have picks in between, and one of those only ā€œappearsā€ after day 1 of the draft.

Did we get clarity on this?

I thought the bonus pick for finishing bottom 5, would be straight before/after your 2nd round pick, so you would get two picks in a row, as opposed to all comp picks are used and then move into the allocated second round picks (if that makes sense?!)

Stringer a chance to head to the Pies.

Apparently he burnt some ex Essendon and Giants team mates over a business investment deal selling fish oil supplements. (but they have been repaid…)
