Any talk of bringing in players for our first or even 2nd round draft picks, should see the suggestee and club official doing so, trebucheted into the sydney opera house

Agree about Dods should have been sacked a long time ago.
Rosa seems to have a way better eye for talent so hopefully we get higher returns when drafting
If they can get Will Day fit, they are a top 4 side.

As much as i hate to admit it, next year is the start of the rebuild.
This year was only about us realising we needed to start one.
Next year is the start… however, this is something i have never seen us try to do, a true rebuild instead of getting ahead of ourselves and trying to win a premiership with the wrong cattle.
For too long, our focus has been on winning a final it needs to be on winning a premiership.
Rebuild, and do it correctly

Our 22 and 25 can be traded out. It makes sense to do so.
Wrong. We’ve turned over an old list and brought in a heap of young talent.

Want to get peoples opinions and you will have to bare with me…
If we end up with pick 4, 5 (Draper), 6 (Melbourne), 8 (Hawthorn), 22 & 25… would the following be reasonable.
**Only looking at high level info as there would obviously be other draft swaps etc.
Pick 4 & 5 to WC for pick 1
Pick 6 & 22 to Richmond for pick 3 (we may need to give more)
Would leave us with Pick 1, 3, 8 & 25 (Sweid)
We could then bring in Duursma, Robey, another high end talent and Sweid.
Even if we do not get Band 1 for Draper we could package pick 19 we get in FA to move higher up the board and complete the Richmond trade regardless.

I reckon both Richmond and West Coast would want more.
I know what you mean about turning over the list but a lot of the decisions we made this year only got made due to the large injury list.
While i agree the idea of list turnover was started, the rebuild was kicked into over drive due to the injuries of this year and the subsequent poor performance
For WC do you think it would be better

Correct. But you said the rebuild will start next year.
This is the 3rd draft of collecting high end talent whilst turnover over older average players.

Fair enough, a better distinction between rebuild and list turnover would’ve been better 
They’re are the same thing.
I get annoyed that people think ‘rebuild’ is only getting young kids. St Kilda have rebuilt their list but have done it through different means and different age demographic.
Yeah i get that, i do honestly think that we need to rebuild “properly” and go to the draft.
However, it will be very interesting to see what happens with St Kilda as there is a chance other players may get upset with 5 players taking the majority of the salary cap.
