And the assistance package should be allowance to pay out a few contracted players outside of the salary cap to refresh faster. Kinda like the amnesty clause in the NBA ages ago

You seem to have this peculiar way about you to cherry pick outcomes that ferment your sense of hopelessness and refuse to acknowledge anything happening at the club that may in fact be genuinely positive.
e.g skipper wants out- on face value can be construed as a poor result for Essendon Football Club. But of course you wonât run with the other side of the ledger which we all know will be a minimum of 2 first rounders if Hawthorn are serious.

Boxshall I like, donât get the Owenâs hype. Youâve included our biggest duds from our young crop lol. Thereâs a few of those on the Saints list as well.

Since Zach re-signed he has won 4 of 5 Crichtons. I hate the way this has played out damaging for all. Im Just not buoyed by losing our best player for two mid to late range first rd picks that may or may not be afl players.

Our picks after the Allen Compo trade to GC like this:
Get pick 61 (which will come in to around 51 after the bids absorb heaps of mid range picks) as something to help match on Sweid.
Trade another future 3 for pick 45 or something as well.

Our list clearly needs more young talent though. Hopefully the club wakes up and moves Merrett on to help with this.

100% agreed. And also remember, with Zach we are giving Hawthorn the missing piece to a chance at a dynasty era given their age profile.
Iâd rather we just burn to the ground than trade in spuds and watch them turn Merrett into a premiership player..
