Someone said on CJ and Hustwaite were keen to come. McKenzie might even be untouchable from a Hawks perspective so doubt that

Why would clubs and player managers agree to this? Unnecessary stress on families etc.

My god if the club sticks its head in the sand and wont look at any offers ill be so annoyed. Does anyone believe zach will give 100% if he stays, itll be a constant media circus aswell.

As for that offer, hold out till the end and see if we can extract something more but tbh id be happy with that deal. Minus hustwaite.

Pick 9 is pick 9, talk of it of drifting to mid teens on draft night, who cares those players were never available to us anyways.

He might be from a Hawks perspective. Brad needs to have him over for dinner and get him to want us.
He’d he wanted to come they might not think he’s untouchable

We need to go back to say we will accept the deal with the picks but the player needs to be Weddle. We then offer Weddle the same cash as Merrett so he demands more cash from the Hawks. End game is we destabilise them and Fark up their salary cap

We need to fight fire with fire.

he also might not be untouchable already and the Hawks are just saying that.

You’re somehow getting even further from spelling his name properly..

Mackenzie.

Who was it on here that said that Hawks are only saying that Mackenzie is “untouchable” so they can then “cave” and offer him - so Essendon think it’s a bigger win?

The value of that deal is a little hard to accurately evaluate without / until knowing how the GC/ Petracca and Sydney/Curnow deals play out.

The 2025 2nd round on offer is actually Carlton’s, isn’t it? Opens up other options to move up, depending on who ends up with various picks. Gold Coast are most interesting because they conceivably could be very very short on points.

Unfortunately Hawthorn “caving” doesn’t really do anything if he doesn’t want to come here.
Which it sounds is likely the case.

Hopefully it’s that and not that he is refusing to come to us.

If we took it and had…

5, 6, 9, 21, 27, 30, 31 - F1(us), F1(them), F2(us)

It’s a pretty wild position, those 2nd rounders hold a lot of value, we can really do something good from this position.

It’s relevant to the quality of the player you’re talking about gaining for the player you’re losing. If we had pick 3 but it got pushed back to pick 40 and we got a ■■■■ player it would be stupid to say “wow, I can’t believe pick 3 was such a bad player”.

IF.

Those second rounders could end up being nothing exciting too.

If suns picks goto Dees then you’re looking at a whopping pick 10 from Blues. Who may or may not even want to trade.

Eagles probably won’t trade their top end pick.

Get farqed kents
