I actually don’t think it was all Dodoro’s fault. As list manager, I feel he was blamed for the recruiting teams failures. Dodoro was able to attract players also, but the deals didn’t always get done.
I think his time was up, but every part of the club sucked.

The list Dodoro was trying to build in 2013 showed promise and would have been interesting to see how it could have continue to build to try and compete.
Unfortunately any chance of it winning was taken away and towards the end of his career the draft and trades were a disaster. No matter whose fault that was we needed a fresh face in that role.

No wonder the Hawks are desperate for Merrett and KIng. 8 players out of 22 were raided from other clubs in their prelim side. Add King and Merrett and that will come up to almost 50% of the team. They want to pay peanuts , Sammy wants a premiership now because the cliff isnt far away.
8 players are 30 or over next season ,
They cant develop their own talent. Lucky they tanked in 2022 and 2023. It gave them picks ro poach from others
