Biggest issue with our list, even more than a BBM. Guelfi and Hind as small forwards tells you how bad it is

Hardly desperate when BDB has clearly annointed Reid, McKay, Rids and Cox all ahead of Lav in his previous role.

Makes sense if he’s playing to get him forward.

I still would like LAV to get a run through the midfield, like Stringer adds size and could run with a Petracca/DeGropey when they go forward.

Desperate to find a forward line solution, but yes, lav looks close to squeezed out of the backline

If Ridley is fit

Doesn’t help when probably our 2 most naturally talented small forwards have played ■■■■ all football the last 2 years.

Lav would be a liability in the midfield. He’s not not agile or quick, he’s not clean with his hands in close, not a quick decision-maker, a poor kick under pressure - a big issue with our midfield already. He’s a big body but I can only imagine the play and his direct opponent going straight past him.

Haha. Change the goalposts much?
You said they never leave F50 (which is obviously wrong).

No way that ever happens, I’m hoping they give Tsatas some time In there soon but CBA’'s seem to be for only a select few.

If you took that literally, that’s just dumb. It’s not netball, they do move around a little. My point is that Cameron and Elliott are stay at home small forwards. We have no such thing

You might be right … but given our search for a strong BBM that can stay the course for a full game goes on, I’d like to see him get a run in there before the bye, say.

He’s no flake … and he’d give it a go. Who knows …

I assume you meant Brent Daniels from GWS. He is 24 and Menzie is 21. If you look at last season. Menzie has kicked 22 goals to Daniels 23 last year from a similar number of games. Daniels does get more possessions.

So I wouldn’t say Daniels is a great small forward when he has been in the system for more years and is still kicking the same number of goals as Menzie who really only played his first season last year.

Neagle looked amazing first 10 minutes of games.

Mate, you think our small forward stocks are fine, and no one is agreeing with you. Read the room

I’m not saying it’s fine. It’s low on the priority of what we need. We got Gresham and he does exactly what you guys want of a forward/mid. I’m saying let’s keep a tall and small home instead of always have the forward line deserted

Brent Daniels is 10X the player Menzie is.

What the f----!!!

Blitz is forever comparing players that are in different stages of their carreers.

DANIELS has been in the system for 6 years, MENZIE has been in the system for 2 years.

He could be the player DANIELS is in 4 more years.

MENZIE kicked 23 goals last year (second year). DANIELS kicked 11 in his second year… from 26 games, but to be fair I’ve got no idea what position he was playing.

Yes I think Daniels is a great example of what I hope Menzie can become.

Though if he does we are still well short of quality on the whole for small forwards.

Jones was a legit gun in his first proper season.

So was Cox.

So was Perkins.

So was McGrath.
