Great photos thanks. I so enjoy the training reports.
Thanks for the report and pics.
Thanks for those pictures and all the positive comments and analysis.
We will smash 'em next season. I can just feel it!
I'm taking Humbert jnr on Friday. He's meant to be at school, but there are more important things than education. I'll provide a comprehensive Melksham report (junior is a big Melky fan) to complement Jackie's analysis of the other 40 or so players.
Can't wait to see Conor, Langers, Longers and LAV as well as the older "new" boys (Cooney, Gwilt) in action. And Lauchie Dalgleish, my personal "project" player.
One question: does training really start at 9:30? Would've thought that was a bit early. Maybe they just start sort of wandering in at about that time?
I’m def going this Friday too. My mate, younger bro and I will finally be renewing our memberships, so I’ll just add anything minor to Jackie’s and co posts
im on mckenna and laverde watch friday.
It’s great to be able to sit back in air conditioned comfort and to read the training reports and view the pics, thanks to all.

I’d rather be there
Pretty full on session today by all reports, Herald Sun saying there were multiple spews.
But forget about what I’m doing, Essendon boys worked hard with this Mongoose and Cobra thing as well according to the same publication.

Would you or anyone else happen to know how long they train for in public sessions, and whether it’s possible to get there via public transport? Mate and I were wanting to go but he isn’t keen on driving and since I don’t have a license we might be in struggletown.

Bus 478/479 run along Melrose Dr from airport west shopping centre. I have no clue how often they run or how long it takes, but I’m sure the PTV website is your friend here.
can’t say anything about public transport but its about 2-2.5 hours.
also yes they start at 9;30
The 478 and 479 buses run from Airport West Shoppingtown, with stops right at the HPC entrance. The shopping centre is in turn served by tram 59 and many other bus routes, including from railway stations such as Essendon. 478/479 are not high-frequency routes so work it out in advance via:

It doesn’t understand the HPC address, so try using 2 Derby Street, Tullamarine as the destination (origin = Westfield Airport West).

driving is pretty easy, but since this is the ‘xmas training session’ they’re closing the HPC parking so you have to make use of side streets nearby, but usually isn’t a problem in the past.
I thought the XMAS session was the Tuesday one?

It is.
From the club website:
Please note there will be no parking available on site on Friday morning with parking available at Melbourne Airport Club off Melrose Drive or in the surrounding streets. Please ensure you respect parking signs and local residents when parking in surrounding streets.
so can we park at the club tomorrow?
