Training Monday 5/12

Green looks a little wrong in Red n Black.

Give it time.

I didn't see Morgan in any of the match simulation. I did watch him do some sprints with Gleeson. He was very quick.

Redman did well in the match simulation. He seems good overhead and is very mobile. He was taller than I expected. Went in hard in the match simulation.

Didn’t notice much of Mutch.

TBell and his apprentice did not participate with the rest of the list.

Given the above I heard the following:

The club was very happy to pretty much have a clean slate with injuries

The addition of Greg Williams has been embraced by the players. Apparently his approach on handball technique has wowed the players.

I can see Dylan Clarke really benefiting from Greg William’s advice at stoppages. If he can refine his handball and vision at stoppages and make it a real weapon, whilst bringing his kicking up to even just a competent level, then look out.

Just seen some footage on twitter of the newbies standing together, Stewart looks an absolute monster.

Don’t tell Gerard Healy

Gained it all at GWS, nothing to see.

Kobe Mutch needs to learn not to stand next to the big rigs in photos. Where’s Gleeson when you need him?

I look at Green and all I see is

And Begley is the spitting image of an old Aussie test player from around early last century, just can’t think who.

Unless he spent a weekend at Lambert’s

Kepler Wessels?

Nah, I’m talking early 1900s. Or even late 1800s.

Clem Hill?

Nope. Am scouring Google but can’t find the photo in my mind’s eye. It is a dead ringer, I tell ya.

Begbie looks an absolute beast

How did Langford go?
Sort of expecting him to have a huge season playing HFF and inside mid.

Warwick ‘The Ship’ Armstrong?

Fred ‘The Demon’ Spofforth?

It wouldn’t be them. I just wanted to say their names.

Victor Trumper?

I can see that classic cover drive now.

While we’re doing lookalikes,
Clarke looks like Tanya Plibersek.

Bill Brown?

Nope, not him either. I’ve nowlooked at every Google image of Australian Test cricketers 1880 to 1940 and cannot find the photo I have in mind. I’ll probably see it in month then not be able to find this thread!
