What I like is that he has a knack, late in the final quarter with the game in the balance, of running into an open goal.
I thought training was tomorrow (Tuesday) thatās what the website says.
Iād turn for Langford, no doubt, what a man.
Just guessing but maybe today was just a bit of a welcome back and a light run around with maybe some testing etc.
Specimen.
Iām a bit more bullish on Tex and think if Guelfi is playing VFL then weāre probably heading in the right direction.
Personally I think we have 2 decent first choice specialist small forwards in Menzies and Gresham. Injuries aside, I expect them both to have impact across the season.
Can someone please give an update on who looks to have put on size compared to last week? Thanks.
Brad was direct on gettable when he said the players we bought in via trade period would have specific roles. Iād take that to mean Duursma will be on a wing, Gresham will be a small fwd and the other two donāt need explanation. Duursma on a wing will mean Duz and Martin play/roll through other roles/positions. Gresham playing permanent small forward probably also helps with Martin getting space playing fwd. Duz will probably roll back as a rotation in defence. And both of them could end up with time in the guts.
From the draft notes. Fell through to the mid season rookie draft, but this part of the draft assessment is perceptive.
Its a good thing we got him as a leftover of the 2021 draft, because apart from Hobbs, we did not get much out of that draft and our small forward stocks are now low. Thus the need for a very good player like Martin ( not a midget) spending time forward.
Iām not sure how you can be bullish at all on tex. Has done SFA in the seniors over his two years. Decent enough VFL form though.
Guelf played a bit of VFL in 2023 as well. I still think heās a bit underrated here. Not the best player, but plays a role and is quite versatile.
Monday is usually rehab and light session after the weekend.
Even during the year, theyād pop out of the Hangar for 30 minutes in small groups. Sometimes after lunch.
The majority of our games that are scheduled are Saturday games. So itās good that they get into a habit of rehab Monday / light session Monday, training session Tuesday, Wednesday will be their day off (or optional), Thursday training, Friday light training (like a captains run), then they work to their program on the weekend (can be at the club or at home / gym).
oh my
Still no Jayden Davey
Youāre half right. From Tassie, but he played half a season at senior level with South Adelaide in the SANFL before we picked him up in the MSD.
I hope youāre right, I just wish he was a tad quicker.
And was a bit more sure-handed. At least he can get the ball.

Guelfi is the forgotten player for this week. Last week it was Menzie. Forgotten player for the month is most likely to be Hunter. My nomination for forgotten of next week is Baldwin. The Weed is a player l would prefer to forget asap.
Someone mentioned last week that the final choice of color of the training top was between orange and purple. I would prefer the royal purple, but l am a big fan of the logo graphic.
That was me, and thats from the blokes mouth at the club thay decides all of that among alot of other things
Edit - should see our potentional clash jumper if it gets approvedā¦ i highly rate!

I am on holidays in Sumatra and can report my size is pretty much the same as it has been for the last 4 months, steady on 75 kgs.
