Training report - Monday 14 December 2020

I think ewok lives at the coast so he was pretty close. It was about 45 minutes one way for me

I thought he was travelling from the Sunny Coast to the Gold Coast when they were based there which is a long way. I lived for a while in the Sunshine Coast and did the trip regularly between the two and it was generally at least 2 hours each way.

But still 90 minutes return takes a bit out of the day. I don’t think I’ve ever really thanked you guys properly for keeping us informed while we were in lockdown, but it was most appreciated.

His old man copies it off Bradley Plane

Only successful f/s we had was Jobe hoping we have better luck with Tom and he has a long successful career at Essendon

Was Dustin not taken as a F/S?

Dustin Fletcher 1992 national draft F/S.

Our reports were nothing compared to what you do for us.
It was good to give a little back to blitz after getting years of training reports and VFL reports.

I’m looking forward to a few reserves games in QLD this year. I just hope they’re at a time when I can go

It’s pretty poor, really. Why should training times be a state secret?

You are absolutely outdoing yourself in the rush for dumbest post of 2020.
There was a kid called Fletcher- you might remember him.
Believe he played a few games.
And there was a forward- Daniwho?, Daniwhere? who may have played a few decent games.

What more could you want? Sure, you can’t feed the family with them. But I’m sure the chest is puffed out a bit further when strutting around the house after a 130 like training report.

Above & beyond the call. Huge effort - no $ but many thanks.

I live about 15 minutes from Metricon. The problem for me was the lack of information, and I spent one day driving around for 2 hours looking at the various venues where I thought we would train.
It was only through @aboods having high powered secret contacts that we were able to figure out the where and when of the Gold Coast training schedule.
@loyalandproud did the training reports from the sunny coast.

I think these reports are well received because there is something real in them. Unlike the media reporting of fabricated or exaggerated BS, with these reports we learn about something that really did happen outside the 22 games each year.

I think the solution to the long commute for you nackers is that instead of sponsoring a player Blitz will chip in and buy you an Aldi tent so you can camp at Tulla outside the security fence the night before training.

Well there’s a solution!

But really I don’t want to come across as whinging or anything, I actually quite enjoy driving and don’t find it a problem at all. I knew when I moved out here there would be a lot more driving and I always have things to do in the city so it’s not like I’m going straight Tulla and back again.

And you’re right, one of the great things about blitz is getting information and views that haven’t been sanitised and spun by the media or club, just glad I can help contribute.

That would be fantastic if you could, even when we get the training day right we sometimes get there and they have started an hour earlier. In previous years they used to start around 10.00 but this year it seems to be 9.00 or sometimes earlier. Very tricky if we don’t know.

You need to lower your post count, @nackers.

You’re damaging your likes-per-post ratio.

Yes I’ve been going a bit crazy lately, I’ve only just made my 1000th post after 10 years on here.
Some of you lot seem to do that in a day.
