This is Essendon we are talking about I expect Parish to have some kind of niggle or injury.
I expect Murphy later in the week to say that Parish has had an injury set back before christmas.

you are once again working yourself up over a situation you have made up entirely in your own mind
Not at all.
He can only select the player.
Based on his first season, Cox was a very good pick. If he doesnāt come good, development program should shoulder the responsibility.
And Reidā¦itāll be a while before the merits of that selection can be discussed
I think the club should come out with a statement every time a player isnāt injured. That way I can sleep well knowing that a player is not injured. This should be done daily, even during the Christmas break as I have a right to know.
And our history with talls Reid not making it wouldnāt surprise me.
Does anyone know if Wednesday or Thursday is the better training session to attend, I have both days off this week and would like to make my way to training for the first time under the scotty and co.
Why is there any difference in grace periods between Cox and Reid? Both are 200cm+ players working into their bodies, both overcoming injuries.
Cox is a victim of his own excellent skillset. Heās that good we can play him on a wing while he develops into⦠whatever heāll develop intoā¦and we subsequently judge him for being slow/stalled in his development as a wing (despite injuries).
We should park definitive opinions on BOTH lads until 2025/2026, even beyond that.
Yeah, youāre right. Both need a number of years to find their feet, but Cox has exposed form. Heās shown that, even at his currently limited physical maturity, he can perform at the level.
Reidās barely been seen. And the nature of his current injuries means that an already slow build will be delayed further.
Added to this, Reidās starting position - key back - is much more high impact than the roaming wing role Cox started in.
All of these factors have me expecting more from Cox in the short-term.
Has Tex been injured? Not looking good for him to be so far off the pace.
Serious comp for his spot now and he needs to be fit
i would expect two top 10 picks, regardless of being tall, to be pretty cemented in the team in 2024 - thats 4 years in a professional environment
if both arent a regular fixture by the end of next year, id be concerned tbh. but theres a lot of time between now and then.
The eternal pessimist
Tired after a long day, how about the rest of you?
Yeah you have. Nino you have form, lots of form.
Pretty sure heās a couple of months returned from his foot surgery last year. Fair to say he hasnāt been able to do much running post-op.
Our training watchers do a fantastic job and thereās no better feeling than jumping on to see a thread that says āTraining Reportā followed by todays date and Nino having a meltdown.
But if I can make one request⦠re noting the times our guys are running during time trials
Typically sub 7 minutes for a 2k TT is the minimum expectation for an AFL listed player. With more competent runners and mids between 6-6:30. Iād love to know where our guys are at.
Yes has been trying to overcome an injury from last year. Club have been very cautious on his loads
There was a reason Port didnāt want to pick Ted up, I think itās his navicular bone? It might stop him from having a good go at an AFL career.
Iām trying to work out if this is takin the pi$$ or if people are actully anoyed we now have bulk coaches. Iāve seen a few post having a crack at the amount of coaches we now have, probalby the same fools who complained that we arenāt developing the young talent⦠There are a number of people on here who just need something to complain about
One day weāll win a premiership.
Theyāll complain about not winning by enough, or the fact that āthatās what we should doā.
I get valid criticism, but some of it is a bit silly.
