I would normally agree except Reid lost a year to glandular fever and now another interrupted season for stress fractures in his back.
Cox had the lisfranc injury and lost half his season last year, another ankle injury this year which is hopefully not too serious.
Both these guys may of been in the system for 4 years by 2024, but it would have been interrupted. Continuity is essential so lets hope they have a better run at it. I unfortunately think theyâll hit their straps a bit later because of these delays.

Seniors next year, Alot of work to do with Munkara in the VFL this year.
Davey may surprise this year at some point.

The improvement in Zerk has been gratifying. From pick 66, after 4 years and just 29 games he now looks and plays like he can make it at the level, what I really noticed was the confidence with which he backed himself in a number of plays. I will be interested to follow his progress in the preseason, because key defensive players are very very important for us in 2023

I donât think you can reasonably expect that though
Whilst being a top 10 pick statistically gives a greater chance of making it as an AFL player there are many many examples of top picks who donât make it. Or who arenât good enough to make a teams best side but are still in a squad as depth.
Talent clearly there for the two though so hopefully they will both establish themselves.

This is the worst injury any player has at our club. The odds are not great for Cox getting back at all. And you can see in his time trial he has not been able to do much running to now. So he isnât out of the woodwork yet until they load him up fully and he doesnât break again.

Always believed in him since the pre season game against the cats, he showed Alot in that game 3 years ago I think now
