Great insights as usual. Can you indulge me with some Caldwell observations?

Parish was a pretty safe bet he would be a 100+ game player

Yeah he was a safe pick, but I never envisioned Parish to be the AA star of the competition-type player. That was Oliver and Charlie Curnow for me (though injuries didn’t really help Curnow). I could tell McGrath, Heppell and Daniher were going to be great players.

Based on their attributes, I think Eyre, Reid, Perkins and Cox can all be future AAs. They all have attributes that make them the perfect player for their position in the modern game.

Seems like Stringer and Ambrose have been in the modified group for a while. Bit concerning

How has Wrights contested marking been in training sessions?

Ambrose was injured last year, so that makes sense.

Stringer is concerning, but hearing he’s starting to ramp up a bit is positive.

That sounds very Richmond.

Should be interesting to see… and hopefully when the pressure builds that the players don’t resort back to bombing the ball to the opposition spareman, which seems to be our get out of jail card for the last 15 years.

Is there any ground in Aus that favours an easterly, because that is the wind in which our skills are sharpest

LOL – match on my first guess, where I’ve never been: Alice Springs!

(annual average; the previous two were January only)
