Training report - Wednesday 6 January 2021

Wasn’t just the AFL evolution… By then, Joe and Mark were cooked and they both retired in 2004. I doubt that they wouldn’t have been able to keep up in their prime years. Sheeds was just getting ahead of the curve tryin g to trade them cause he saw they were coming to the end and wanted some value coming back.

Nice work @nackers and I’ll see you at the next training session. Just got to crack the code as to when they are training haha

To give you a bit more of an idea about young Misiti when the players first came out yesterday we had no idea that any of the JHA kids were training, and we were looking at them all trying to identify everyone.

At first we thought he was McBride because of the similar size but it was hard to tell as they were on the far side of the second oval, it was only late in the session that they came closer and we were able to identify everyone.

For any one that has seen McBride he’s a great size but also incredibly athletic for his size. Before we knew it wasn’t McBride I commented to the others that not only had a deloped considerably in the upper body but also that his agility seemed to have improved without losing any of the pace and strength to go with it.

I didn’t see too much of his ball handling but what I did see he looked OK, if he can actually find the ball he could be anything…

I just got a message that it’s tomorrow morning at 9. I’m near Apollo Bay at the moment though with dodgy reception and no wifi, and unlikely I’ll be back for Friday unfortunately.

@THE_DON1 hey mate do you know when updated height/weight details will be available for the NAB League sides this year? Would be good to know how tall Misiti actually is.

That won’t be for a few months yet, usually happens early March. Pre-season games take place in late February and usually the clubs own updated measurements are close to the mark.

That’s mate. Do you know if the plan is for him to play as a mid this year, or given his height do you think he’ll be trialled in other areas?

Thanks.

Is he rated as a first/second round pick?

Obviously it’s probably hard to tell with no footy being played in 2020

Having known nothing about the kid until Nackers posted yesterday, I’d estimate he should be bid on around pick 3

It is why I love this time of the year. Mostly positive news. No matches to deflate the optimism.
