Thank you

Made it! Pilot put on his Ducati cap and nailed it.
Even time for a quick glass of :clinking_glasses: in the lounge .:clap:

Nice. It’s good when they can make up a bit of time and everything goes fairly smooth

The Malaysian lounge at Tulla is crap.

Yes, the Marhaba is not good. Go to the Qantas lounge instead. It’s also not great but better than the Marhaba

Just need a place to chill for a bit, maybe get a buzz from a few drinks then sleep it off on the way to KL.

Do international flights have wifi these days? Don’t want to work, but might as well if it’s possible.

I’d personally go to the Qantas lounge.
Malaysian Airlines has free Wifi although I’ve found it can be hit or miss

Qantas doesn’t.

Singapore did.
Not sure about Malaysian airlines.

Bit of a tip for priority pass holders

A lot of the priority pass lounges are crap - it’s just too popular a program.

But……The card also gives you access to a tab at a few restaurants and bars. So you can get a great feed or some drinks. And it’s pretty generous. 27/54 USD(if with 2 guests). Which these days goes pretty far at a few places around the world.

Just look up the EAT options under the lounges listed in the app.

I’ve just spent three nights in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the Grand Hotel Sofia. The room was absolutely enormous, 7 x 7 metres, PLUS a separate entrance hall PLUS a big bathroom with full size bath, separate shower and even a bidet. Highly recommended

Something local…

Travelling on the Gold Coast. Cheaper to get the bus from the airport than the $100 Uber.

50c for a bus tram or whatever!

50c!!!

The Malaysian lounge at anywhere is crap.

Both Malaysian airlines business lounges at KL are fine and their First lounge is excellent.
The problem is they use inferior contract lounges around the globe such as the Marhaba in Melbourne as they don’t have many of their own.

We must have a different definition of ā€œfineā€ cf MH at KL, unless they have changed it since I was there last. Agree with their poor choices elsewhere.

The Business lounge in the main satellite terminal normally has some decent food and has plenty of room whilst the First lounge does some awesome food and has a private dining room that does great meals. The other business lounge isn’t as good but still fine. Most airlines don’t have many of their own branded lounges so tap into third party lounges or rely on their alliance lounges so you still get to use the excellent Qatar, Qantas, BA lounges at ports around the world
