Tribunal/MRO from 2023 - Choose Your Own Adventure continues

Can you at the very least concede that this frame shows he didn’t line him up?? You can see his arm is not even braced for impact so the notion he deliberately lined him up is nonsense.

sure

If roles were reversed, Weid would be getting 3 weeks for taking out the legs of Lemming.

Bombers need to start asking questions about why we are treated differently at MRO / Tribunal. And we need to sack our legal advisors.

Dixon had his 3 match ban upheld at the SANFL tribunal tonight. He pleaded guilty in the hope of getting charge downgraded but it wasn’t to be.
Port having a big sook but what has got lost in all this is that the SANFL and all affiliated comps in SA have a concussion policy of 21 days so the bloke Dixon hit will be out for 3 weeks so many would feel justice was served

Port not going to take the decision lying down and will front the SANFL appeals tribunal on Friday morning

They are appealing an appeal?

Thats just appalling

Yeah, you can appeal the MRP and then there is a seperate panel for further appeals. Might get nasty

I’ve seen people online saying that he slightly deviated away from the ball to make the hit.

This is rubbish.

If you watch the footage, and concentrate just on Weideman’s feet. He didn’t deviate 1cm.

The camera angle is perfect to protect Weideman from getting suspended. But the VFL tribunal is a f*cking disgrace, and they’re making this suspension up from zero evidence.

I must admit, it looked to me like Weed slightly leans into him, but I CBF going back and looking or arguing over it.

What’s a guy gonna do when someone dives into your space?

Have been since at least over 70 years ago when they rubbed John Coleman out after retaliating to getting whacked all day, and cost us a Premiership.

Dixon’s suspension upheld again.
That is the final outcome now

The AFL needs to get its sh*t in order when it comes to high contact and concussion.

If a player dives head first into a contest, it is not the responsibility of the opposition player to pull out of a contest, which effectively makes winning the ball a lesser priority.

Accountability needs to be on each player who goes head first into a contest, or ducks into a tackle.

SUSPEND DANGER
(No chance AFL Will)

That has to be a suspension.

There is not a chance that is a suspension (nor should it be).

How come? It’s worse than the Jones tackle.

Completely different action and Walsh went searching for the turf.

(Also the Jones decision was utter nonsense.)

It doesn’t matter if it was nonsense, that’s the standard they’re applying.

Dangerfield pinned both arms and the head hit the turf.

It’s a completely different tackle.

Walsh also flung his head at the ground (he has done it a couple of times tonight).

I’d love nothing more than for Danger to miss, but there is a bigger chance of him pinging a hammy in the second half. That will get thrown out in 3 seconds.
