Their whole argument is that what he did was “reasonable.” If what he did was “reasonable” then Walsh’s head impact is irrelevant.

Personally, I don’t think Dangerfield did much wrong.
It’s just an unfortunate accident. Walsh’s knees dig into the ground first, and from that axis, head rotates into the ground.
Might still get rubbed out, but I don’t think the verdict means anything.

For all his deep-level analysis, I assume Dangerfield can think through split seconds in slow motion. Doesn’t that make it even worse that he was able to assess all that and the head still hit the ground?
