It’s a 1 man show these days with Michael Christian being judge jury and executioner.
The AFL has already shown that it can’t discern between similar actions.
Bucks would be looking at a world where all pies transgressions would be ruled accidental.

The AFL have decided to let that StKilda bloke serve one of his 4 match suspension in this weeks VFL practice match due to exceptional circumstances???
What are the exceptional circumstances? That the VFL fixture is a joke?

It is exceptional in that a coach has actually publicly criticism the ruling. At least it would be exceptional if it was an Essendon coach.
I thought he got three weeks, but because of the bye, the time period for the suspension ran to four weeks when he couldn’t play in a competition
He got 4 weeks but they have a bye this week and after the 4th game so he would miss 6 weeks.
The AFL is allowing this week to count so he now will miss 4 weeks

You’ve clearly forgotten about the “Sydney Discount”
They need to change the grading/matrix system to one that has two streams
- for football actions i.e. tackles and bumps
- striking and deliberate thuggery

The melican one gave me lockett and caven vibes. Obviously not as severe as caven headbutting pluggers elbow, but same ground, same end. Just took me back and had me feeling all nostalgic.
Anybody who thinks Zach Merrett should be suspended for that incident with Blakey simply has no idea.
And if he were to somehow be suspended it would be another nail in the coffin for my interest in the game.
Whilst I continue to be surprised at the stupidity of the MRO with each passing week, I do think that even they will see that this was simply an unavoidable situation where Merrett couldn’t reasonably had done anything else. The fact Blakey passed his HIA will assist further.
