It’s Intentional conduct, high contact and at least medium impact given the concussion.
He will try and argue careless conduct.
No doubt he’ll get off with a fine.

Nothing will ever beat Dean Wallis Brad Fox being throttled by Lockett into literal unconsciousness 100 metres off the play and 5 metres in front of the goal ump.

It’s reasonable to think that if Ridley stayed on the field that could have been enough for us to get over the line. Keeps Langford in the forward line… keeps Redman free and keeps Marshall a little more honest.
Pretty frustrating….

Van Rooyen of Melbourne gets 2 weeks for making a legitimate attempt to spoil the ball, but collects Ballard in the head. No concussion, plays the game out. Absolute joke if he gets rubbed out for that.

You are of course correct, but their dishonest display demonstrates yet again why these people do not deserve the honorific of “umpires”. They are obviously not at all neutral, so more deserving of the traditional title of “maggots”.
