TV show thread (2013-2022)

3 eps in and hard agree.

just make it 10 episodes ffs

(otherwise it is very very good so far)

-edit- actually it could be a lot worse, could be like the prestreaming days where the seasons would be 26 episodes long, with 16 of them being filler

given where i was absolutely certain that scene was going to end up, what actually happened was, oddly, quite a relief

It’s an amazing show for how it has me totally sucked into wanting a happy life for Barry despite the awful stuff he does.

Just started the Boys. I had mistakenly thought it was one of those shows based on aussie thugs starring David Wenham so I have skipped past it until now. Cracking show, I love good guys gone bad with dodgy evil management. Harks back to the Running Man in some ways which was pretty much the template for Hunger Games.

They continue to push the boundaries, Season 3 has been amazing so far.

Watched and enjoyed Halo, not a massive fan of the game so it’s more just a new scifi show for me.

I adored S3 of Barry.

It kept getting progressively darker as each episode went on. The scene where Albert confronted Barry on the hill was as intense and jaw dropping 3 minutes as I’ve seen. Hader packs so much plot into each 30 minute episode and I dare say he’ll be a heavy favourite for some gongs come award season.

Yes.

And all I can say is:

I didn’t think I could see a better season finale this year than Succession, but I did.

That last line… Damn.

Anyone else watched Shoresy, the Letterkenny spin off?

It’s… Very much like Letterkenny, which is not a bad thing, but the character pool is a little more concentrated. And Keeso (Wayne, Shoresy) brings a lot more to the Shoresy character than I was expecting. It’s a great deal deeper than I was expecting, while still keeping the crassness and quipinness that made Letterkenny great.

Would recommend.

Or the template for Battle Royale which Hunger Games then proceeded to completely copy.

that show could so easily translate to country footy

-edit- just caught an episode again in the wild on sbs viceland. i don’t think i’ve ever laughed so hard at a character in a tv show crying.

Has anyone watched Barons (was on ABC not long ago) am watching on iveiw. Set in the 70’s, about surfing, think it is loosely based on the starting up of Rip Curl, Quicksilver surfing apparel.

Am liking it.

Just saw that the fifth season of Handmaid’s Tale drops September 14.
I was surprised. Thought they had a decent ending with four.
Hope it doesn’t GoT.

It’s the KFC of television shows. It’s complete and utter crap but I can’t help but binge.

I think the only remaining storyline left to follow through is showing the fall of Gilead, probably following some of the plot of the sequel book.

Enjoying S3 of Atlanta. LaKeith Stanfield (Darius) just calms me when he’s on screen.
