Watched the 3rd episode of Cosmos last night so I'm up to date.
I love this kind of stuff, puts things in perspective, just like when I read Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Practically Everything".
It's obviously been upsetting all of the christians and other religious folk who are slowly coming around to the fact that there is a hell of a lot of evidence that their beliefs about the universe are unfounded, plus it makes it hard to brainwash people when they have seen evidence to the contrary.
Anyway, I'm pleased that religious organisations don't have as much power over here as they do in say, the USA. You don't really hear politicians saying "because the bible says so", and we don't even consider TV shows or documentaries that discuss abortion or homosexuality or evolution "controversial" like they do in some other countries.

Just saw the season finale to Walking Dead. Rick - He da man! I know this show has been pretty gruesome but it took the cake tonight.
There's been two decent things happen this season: That scene right there and the Carol/Tyrese episode.
And because this show has no balls I have a bad feeling that in the season opener we'll find out that the whole Terminus issue was a big misunderstanding and everyone is friends again.

I don't see it that way. Did you see all the rib cages etc in that yard they ran by? The candles in the room they were in was also looked like a tribute to all the people they've killed.
Agreed. The Carol/Tyrese ep was quite stunning. Also...
Did the baby survive? Couldn't tell that they had it when they left.
They are so gonna be cannibals. When rick and the others were running away from the gunfire, they ran past a closed off courtyard, that was filled with human bones covered in blood.

Don't get me wrong I really hope it is cannibals too, they really made it out to be very much and the aftermath is pretty epic. But this show has a bad habit of making things very, very anti-climactic.
"Oh, we only retaliated because you pulled a gun on us. Your friends are locked away because we can't be sure they're not infected yet. What a big icky misunderstanding." *cue Seinfeld bass line*

Ha Ha...
Damn! These crispy salted fingers are making me thirsty!
the shooting by people on the roof etc in the last episode was so damn patheticly shot its not funny. it was the WORST scene almost ever.
i mentioned this to a friend and she said "it will all make sense"
so they clearly either should have done it better or .... dont it better.
It was annoying me too. Even though it became clear they were not trying to shoot-to-kill, it would take more precision to fire that many rounds near somebody, and not hit them, than it would to hit them.
Really, not one stray bullet grazed a leg?
Other than that though, great episode. Rick is a mad ■■■■
HIMYM finished today.
Apparently there was lots of people outraged by the ending. I thought it was good.
Maybe would have liked it to be
more of a happily ever after ending with the actual mother, but thought with how the show went on for so long with Robin that it was fitting
SBS is fast-tracking Season 2 of Orphan Black to air 2 days after the US in its usual slot of Tuesdays @ 8.30 on SBS2 (it returns April 22).
For the really keen it'll also be available within hours of the US airings via SBS on Demand from midday Sundays.
SyFy is currently airing Season 1, whilst SBS will also be running a 2 part Season 1 marathon from Sunday April 13 @ 10.30pm on SBS2, it'll conclude the next night.

I thought it was good too, I enjoyed it much more on second viewing. I just didn't like that
they spent an entire season at Barney and Robins wedding then 5 minutes later they are divorced. Ted ending up with Robin though was fitting. It may have been called how I met your mother, but it's always been about "Aunt" Robin.
It probably could have been left as they love happily ever after but with the mother dying it gives a reason why he told the story and with robin being in it so much, I thought the kids final scene were done properly
Watched the last 7 episodes plus finale back-to-back last night. I loved the one-shot montage of what happened to all the minor characters in ep20(?). I also loved the ending. Great way to wrap it up. Although I would have liked a Bob Saget cameo somewhere :)
They probably should have had it as the kids saying "just ask her out" and all that as they were doing and then Ted gets the phone but leaves it as that. Didn't need to have the shot of him going back to the apartment which is a copy of the first episode.
They probably should have mentioned that she is back in town and living in NY for good working for someone like CNN, I mean, how else can she look after 5 dogs?????
Other than that, loved it. Seasons 7 and 8 were average at best but really enjoyed the second half of season 9.

I think it was bad, not "he becomes a lumberjack" but still.

I think it they ended it as well as they could have, however, in my mind the series was stretched out for 2 possibly 3 seasons longer than it should have been which meant they had to take the story in certain directions that ultimately lead to a weaker ending.
Anyone else think How I Met Your Father is going to be another season 9 of Scrubs? (ie a bad, bad, bad idea)
Just started Vikings (ok, I'm a bit slow on some things).
Not bad so far, but a shame it's not on HBO...there are a few chest adornments I'd like to see paraded around uncovered...
Loving the new series.
Up to Episode 4.
Started watching it cos of these two posts.
Tis not bad, altho that's prolly more to do with the fact I enjoy the age and historical aspect of the show (albeit know creative licence taken with it).
