TV show thread (2013-2022)
They probably should have had it as the kids saying "just ask her out" and all that as they were doing and then Ted gets the phone but leaves it as that. Didn't need to have the shot of him going back to the apartment which is a copy of the first episode.
They probably should have mentioned that she is back in town and living in NY for good working for someone like CNN, I mean, how else can she look after 5 dogs?????
Other than that, loved it. Seasons 7 and 8 were average at best but really enjoyed the second half of season 9.

I think it was bad, not "he becomes a lumberjack" but still.

I think it they ended it as well as they could have, however, in my mind the series was stretched out for 2 possibly 3 seasons longer than it should have been which meant they had to take the story in certain directions that ultimately lead to a weaker ending.

Anyone else think How I Met Your Father is going to be another season 9 of Scrubs? (ie a bad, bad, bad idea)

I thought this was a joke.

But I think it has different actors, different characters so it won't even be a spin off of it.

So, as someone that hasn't seen a single episode of HIMYM - is it worth getting into?

Honest Trailer for Game of Thrones (contains spoilers from previous seasons, obviously)

It's not THAT good, and there's a lot of awful rubbish episodes. I wouldn't bother. You're probably looking at 200+ episodes.

Just started Vikings (ok, I'm a bit slow on some things).
Not bad so far, but a shame it's not on HBO...there are a few chest adornments I'd like to see paraded around uncovered...

Loving the new series.

Up to Episode 4.

Started watching it cos of these two posts.

Tis not bad, altho that's prolly more to do with the fact I enjoy the age and historical aspect of the show (albeit know creative licence taken with it).

But that's half the fun of it.

Some of the stuff in it is historical, some is for TV.

Entertaining, lots of throats getting slit with large swords, half the cast are Aussies.

(and not the ones from Underbelly or Home and Away)

It's very good, except for seasons 7-8 and half of season 9 as the networks dragged out the show for ratings purposes.

Seasons 1-5 were very good and the second half of season 9 was perfectly done (almost)

It should have ended when he met her. The rest of the episode was great. After that it sucked.

Yeah I should have said the creative licences they have taken are probably minor ( case in point I doubt the lead characters wife would be able to get away with half of what she has so far).

Also some of the weapons are puny and you think how the hell did they cause so much distruction. But yeah like I said tis good to imagine being in that time era by watching the show.

Probably the ones from Spartacus.

haha, that's awesome, thanks!

Season 2 of Hannibal so far has been awesome.

By the same creators and an obvious attempt to play off the success of HIMYM. I think the problem they are going to have is that it is being marketed as a spin off of HIMYM and when viewers of HIMYM realise that it has no real connection to that show, they will lose a massive chunk of their viewers after about 2 episodes.

So it's not the mother from HIMYM finding Ted? The small part of me that wanted to watch it is now gone. I guess it's going to be some finger snapping black chick in her twenties who don't need no man spreading herself all over New York.

Really enjoying Janet King. I enjoyed Crownies, but getting rid of the soap elements has improved the show immensely...even if that unfortunately means much less of Indiana Evans.

Took a punt on Trophy Wife and despite its abysmal ratings in the US which'll see it canned, I think it is a pretty decent sitcom and certainly superior to things like 2 Broke Girls & 1 Man and A Kutcher that rate well over there.

Season 2 of Hannibal so far has been awesome.

Didn't think they could improve on Season 1, but it probably started by showing the confrontation between Hannibal and Jack Crawford at the start of Season 2.

HAPPY GAME OF THRONES DAY!!!!

The bandwagon could not fit any more people on it, surely?

Thoughts? I am going to miss the powerful Starks.

Game of Awesomeness

Arya Stark, my new favourite character.

Prince Oberyn was perfectly cast - Bossed it.
