TV show thread (2022-?)

Yeah it was tense, but sort of anti climactic. I would have sucked at it, becuase I couldn’t even remember what the painting was !!

I reckon if it happens again they will have something much bigger or better planned

Can’t wait to see Sam Campbell again in the champions of champions special

The Lowdown with Ethan Hawke as an Oklahoma trash journalist / thief / social crusader. It’s from Sterlin Harjo who did the excellent Reservation Dogs.

Only a couple of episodes on but so far it’s pretty entertaining, a bit of conspiracy stuff, a bit of murder, a bit of politics, a bit of Nazism.

Will give a rating after a few more.

I’m not sure if it has been said here but Jason Bateman is an Awesome producer/director. I just love the shows he has got out there. Not sure what it says about me but I’m putting it out there anyway :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ll be watching Zootopia 2 simply because.
The doco of their podcast, SmartLess was a fun watch, too, so I’d clearly watch him in anything.

I’m not taking it credibly until we get this:

Seriously, to say it is a slow burn is an understatement. Wait and see!

Watching Teenwolf as a kid and watching what he is doing now. Pretty good stuff.

Am I mistaken in my recollection that he replaced Michael J Fox on Family Ties?

He has become quite the artist.

His sister was on family ties. It was a great show. I can’t remember if he replaced him but it does ring a bell.

I had to resort to the Google machine.

He was in “The Hogan Family”, the Temu version of Family Ties

The Hogan family. Now that rings a bell.

I believe it followed the blending of the offspring from the first marriages of Hulk Hogan and Col. Robert E. Hogan as they navigate their way through the early days of same sex relationships.

It’s a heartwarming tale of commitment in the face of adversity and how true love conquers all.

Except Germany or Andre the Giant.

And the original Zootopia was pretty fun.

Not a fan of Valerie? He’s come a long way from being the poor man’s Micheal J Fox.

Edit.

Just did some googling after reading more posts. That’s an interesting back story regarding Valerie / Valerie’s family / Hogen’s family. Sounds like the cast of Friends might of taken notes on how to deal with producers.

A few eps in to The Beast in Me on Netflix. Decent enough so far, even allowing for the fact that Claire Danes apparently has to be constantly moving her head everytime she speaks.

I just finished task and thought it was very good overall. A massive hole in the plot but othewrwise OK.

When the FBI identified Cliff and even where he worked, they didnt even check with his employer they didnt make any connection to Robbie who he worked with , even after they assertained he was going through the bikies garbage , which itself made absolutely no sense as they were already getting exact detail from the inside of the gang

Watched the first ep of Maigret…wasn’t bad…but I expect to watch Maigret in black and white and with 1960’s cinematography.

They’ve gone the usual trick with Janvier, but I suppose there’s no actual need to have him played by a middle-aged white Frenchman. Janvier in Atkinson’s Maigret fitted my image perfectly.

And now up to Series 5 of Grace. Series 4 was pretty dark…some pretty sick units there.

I thought there were a few holes in the story as well but all in all I enjoyed the show. As for the garbage one, they hit other gangs/drug dealers as well which Robbie identified by going through the garbage.

Future Man. So funny and across so many eras and genres. Time travel nerds will love this one.
