TV show thread (2022-?)

Watched first three episodes last night after reading your post. Enjoyed it and will continue today. Thanks.

I really enjoyed first 2 seasons, suspense and action and good pacing, aesthetic and interior design.

This season it’s been more drama, and mystery. And I wasn’t sure I was really liking the ‘present day’ story arc (which is historical in the shows timeline). And another one of the arcs about the dead woman I am just confused with.

Until this weeks episode (Ep 7) which seemed to kick up another notch on the suspense, action and the stories aligning (at least visually)

New show on Netflix…called Miss Austen about Jane Austen’s sister

It’s the 437th TV series or movie based on Jane Austen’s works, and just ahead of the number of series Keeley Hawes has starred in.

I was a bit the same but it all came together the last few episodes of this season. After a slow start it really gathered pace and the last few episodes were amazing. The last episode was just brilliant. Can’t wait for season 4 (July next year).

Yep, it was really great viewing. Just built at the right pace, that I now need to go back and join all the dots.

The last episode was a bit of everything.

Looking forward to this one. Have a few episodes of another series to finish first, then I’ll jump back into this one

Silo spoiler

That was a pretty powerful scene at the end of ep 9 with her and Daniel. So close to each other yet they were a million miles away. I’m wondering if Per deliberately caused that blast.

Ashley Zukerman was superb as Troy in ep 10. “ Let’s get those numbers down”. So cold.

Taskmaster s22 has started. Lineup is pretty good, ep1 was decent, looking forward to seeing what Richard Ayoade comes up with.

Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen S2 now streaming on Netflix. Me thinks its better than S1 … darker for sure but never a dull moment.

Worth watching if you’re into gangsters, some dressed up and set within stately aristocratic UK and Italian verve. His old favs like Ray Winstone, Vinnie Jones and Joely Richardson are back.

He’s so good at being a “gangstar”

Love this bloke, great series too.

I’m up to about episode 6. Eddie’s had the suitcase beaten out of him and they’ve got into cocaine. But yeah! Much darker. Susie’s looking hotter too.

New season of taskmaster has been pretty good so far

Richard being the funniest so far

Just finished it last night and agree, i reckon it was better than season 1. And I really liked season 1.

Eddie’s confession that Bella insisted had the priest a little flummoxed.

An old mate of mine was asked to do that before marrying a Catholic. He started by referring to the last root he’d had before meeting her, then continued on in the same vein before the priest said “I don’t know that describing any more will change things.”

A tad similar to the James Bond with George Lazenby with the aftermath to the wedding.
