TV show thread (2022-?)

Ive never played the game so i dont have the issues some others have. I have loved Ellie as a character and having seen her in GoT and TLOU think she a cracking young actor.

Like others…this episode fell a bit flat

I finished Heirs to the Land today, thanks @Alan_Noonan_10 loved it.

Have you tried
The Vineyard
High Seas
Cable Girls
Someone Has to Die
Monarca
The Mess You Leave Behind
You Cannot Hide
And there are 3 semi-horrors from up north, the Baztun Trilogy

High Seas is high camp, but the main star is the little girl from Pan’s Labyrinth

Haven’t seen any of those, but I have a couple of them on my list.

Will be putting the others on my list and work my way through them.

There are quite a few more

I like Valeria…it’s Sex and the City with younger women set in Madrid
The Neighbour, a superhero pisstake

A movie I liked was (Gente que Viene y Bah - the Bah is a pun on the Spanish pronunciation of v as b, so it means People Who Come and Go…Bah becomes Va).will think of the name it’s shown as.

A good French one is Bonfire of Destiny, based on a real story. Stars Audrey Fleurot and another star of Women At War, Camille Lou. One of the real victims was the Empress Sissi’s sis.

Thanks will give them a look too.

Have seen Bonfires of Destiny and Women at War, enjoyed both.

Chris Hammer’s breakthrough novel, Scrublands, is being serialised by Stan. Ripper book.

Starring Luke Arnold (Black Sails), Bella Heathcote and Jay Ryan.

tbf In the game Joel didnt become like a father to Ellie till towards the end of the game

The last of Us (spoiler talk)

That’s true, in Part 2, Joel is desperate to fill that void despite the role reversal.

Speaking of part 2, I’m not sure how HBO will go in adapting the second story. It’s more brutal, confronting and shocking than anything shown on TV so far that I can think of. Handmaids tale would be close. There will be a lot of people switching off and upset for the direction of the story I predict.

Let’s face it, outside of the 3rd episode, TLUS is just a very average show, with bland plot, average cast and some very ordinary acting and zero chemistry between the leads which ultimately kills it.

I think I’m done with Zombie shows after the walking dead. It really is just the same thing over and over.

TLOU is nothing like Walking Dead apart from the post appoclaypte setting imo

Tlou is pretty good but yes it’s overhyped

All zombie shows are the same.

Shaun of the Dead?

taskmaster aus ep 5 has a hall of fame task if there’s anyone who wasn’t keeping up

The roses?

Taskmaster AU is slowly finding its groove I reckon. If networks persist with it, it’ll get there.
