TV show thread (2022-?)

I’m going to try and save it for the weekend but I don’t reckon I’ll be successful!

The previews for it were horrendous. Turned me right off the show.

The final episode of Endeavour is on this weekend, and it looks like being pretty gritty.

I’m tipping that Morse will survive…not sure about anyone else.

Save it for Sunday night.

You’ll probably need the distraction.

Good idea. Cheers.

Have watched episode 1. Same enjoyable clever, funny and touching stuff. Looks like it’s just one episode per week unfortunately.

It’s something to look forward to each week

Have just finished Episode 5 of Shrinking (appletv) and am really enjoying it.

The first Greek show has hit Netflix. Maestro in Blue. It’s not too bad so far. I think what I’m enjoying the most is that I’m watching without subtitles and I can understand everything.

I started watching La Fossa (The Mass Grave) on SBS On Demand last night. An area near a village is being excavated, expecting that it’s the site of Spanish Civil War execution victims in Catalunya, when a young bloke who’s keen on the excavation is found shot dead. Is it someone from Franco’s side not wanting his family besmirched, or other motives?

It’s mainly spoken in Catalan, and either Catalan can be very close to Spanish or they’re mixing languages willy-nilly. I’m hearing a lot of Spanish spoken.

I think it’s set 20 years or so back. It’s 84 years since the end of the war now, and I know there are projects to excavate as many grave sites as possible. It was one of the two themes of Almodóvar’s latest, Parallel Mothers.

Started watching the last (I think?) season of The Walking Dead after bailing on it around the time the Rasta guy with the bad CGI Tigers were introduced. Other than looking cheaper than usual, how on earth did they contrive Neegan into becoming a good guy? I know characters have arcs but his previous actions seem ludicrously irredeemable lol. Good to see that hillbilly Bill Hicks is still alive and well.

Gluten for punishment there. I wish you the best for your mental health, i checked out years ago when the show became a mocking sport for me every week.

I’m lucky that way. So many people here raved about it, that I ignored it completely.

Can everyone please watch the Greek show for a little bit so it looks popular and they bring more. Thanks.

First season legitimately good, if you pretend there are no more seasons after that then it’s a solid show.

I have never watched a minute of that show. Nor am l about to.

Stacks of shows recommended here that I’ve never watched a second of. I just see the genre, or the nationality, and go Nup.

But for @em2009’s sake, I am prepared to give the Greek show a go…something Maestro. Came up in an email today.

I think it’s right up your alley.

What’s it called? And what channel?
