TV show thread (2022-?)

Yeah we are 3 episodes in and will probably persist as struggling to find many decent options at the moment. It’s not really grabbing me though.

It’s ■■■■

Dear Child Netflix, pretty interesting German limited series, dark and mysterious, pretty unique tale so far

Had plans for that one, although we mention these in the Non English-language thread for TV Shows, because barnz can’t read.

I love Adam McKay, but I detest the Lakers.

I want to watch this series but I am very torn about it.

Was Adam McKay the star of James A Michener’s Adventures in Paradise?

I know I’m late to the party on this but I’m one episode from being up to date on Drive to Survive.

What a show. I have 0 interest in F1 or Motorsport in general but far out this is compelling TV. It just perfectly suits this format - the drama, the crashes, the personalities, the team dynamics, the principals warring, the carousel of drivers, the locations, etc. Just great TV. I think it’s even better when you’ve never followed F1 so you don’t know the outcome of any of the races.

I’ve watched the tennis and golf iterations of this sport. Golf was good, tennis terrible but F1 the best by a mile.

Has anyone watched Vikings? I’ve watched 5 seasons, and whilst it’s good over all, it is way too long, to the point where I really cbf watching the final season.

I was much the same. I watched it off and on when overseas etc. Got to the point I just couldn’t be farked anymore.

I thought it was good, don’t get me wrong. Just got over it.

its good, but not as good after Xaviers mate Ragnar died .

He used to play for St Kilda.

Lol.

the stuff about America & iceland was a bit boring.
but the Russia stuff was ok.

It really drops off after Ragnar dies

I’m still dirty that Ragnar dumped Lagitha. Big step backwards for mine.

Yeah, Ragnar and Rollo were the lynchpins of the show. Quality really dropped off after they left.

Nope, were they made before the series ?

What really killed me about that show was the end scene, they were supposed to be on the East cost of Canada and the sun was setting over the ocean…

Yeah, there is the original mystery road movie( also stars Hugo weaving)l it’s a really good movie

Then there is a movie that is set quite a bit after the tv series called goldstone .

There is also the mystery road prequel series that came out last year

Heels, on stan. Love it so much, the play on family and community, its wholesome and emotional.

If you like wrestling you’ll really enjoy it, super fun show.

Chris Bauer is absolutely fantastic again, Frank Sobotka for those playing at home.

The show is good, but the intro music is effin’ amazing (as long as you ignore the words).

Also now the only place to see CM Punk (and AJ!!!) wrestle.
